October was a busy month for the staff here at Murphy’s Waves. From attending classified wave pool development meetings in Ireland, overseeing the installation of a new wave machine attraction at Universal Studios in America as well as the installation of a new surf pool in Malaysia … Not to mention, attending the WWA show in New Orleans where we were presented with our most recent award!
Waves engineer Snowy, has recently returned from Universal Studios, Orlando. During this latest site visit, Snowy played an active role in overseeing the installation of the new Boogie Wave Pool, Torrent & Typhoon River attractions.
Earlier in October, our engineers were in Malaysia overseeing the early installation stages of a new surf pool at Dolphin Quest. This is a very exciting project for everyone involved…Once completed, Dolphin Quest will be the home to a new surf pool with the largest ever man made surf wave – a whopping 4M high!

Coming up in November…
This month, manufacturing starts on a number of different projects- including an 18M Breaker wave machine and a Stingray surf system for new projects in Canada and Poland.
Shipment of our Double Stingray, Duel Pool, Torrent and Typhoon River wave machines for the Water Park of Atlantis in Sanya is scheduled for later the month.
It is less than 2 weeks until our sixth and final trade show of 2016. Jim and Neil are getting ready to attend the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando. Murphy’s Waves have been attending the annual IAAPA Expo for over 20 years! Each year our team still get excited about showcasing what we do best… making the worlds best wave machines!
